{Day 14} Unique Mantel Display

I had been waiting for the perfect time to be inspired for re-decorating our fireplace mantel...it was just one of those places that I had been musing about for a little too long.  A couple of days before leaving for Québec, I became inspired...at 6 AM!  Needless to say the item combinations are quite unique but fun...why not pair books with a cake dome? Or playing cards in a trifle glass bowl? Or cribbage sets in a galvanized silver trough? Or matches in a glass Ball jar?  So, here is a bit of uniqueness for you, with a unique "sketch" filter (don't adjust your screen)...

One's imagination is a wonderful thing.  Funny where our mind can take us and what uniqueness we can add to our lives through a little imagination...even at 6 AM.  I think that is one reason why I enjoy seeing where people live or work: it gives me insight into their imagination.  The uniqueness of each person is shown in the subtle ways in which they adorn their house or thrive in their workplace.  In other words, I enjoy getting glimpses of who people are through seeing their surroundings.  Such surroundings demonstrate how unique we really are as human beings.
