....and we are back from beautiful Québec!! This entry was actually written the day we left, so these were my thoughts right before I boarded my plane...
{Day 13} Small Changes
Once upon a time, our spare room (upstairs) was pink, covered in flowers, and had colorful beads hanging in a make-shift closet...then Captain America annihilated the "closet", we repainted the walls red, installed white bead board, and placed our own advanced closet organizer in the room. When I think back to what it used to be, I laugh. How far that room has come! Well for a quick bit of happiness, I rearranged the shelf, added some items that I had elsewhere, and took away some items...so it just added a newer feeling to the room again...
This was not too big of a change; I'm not sure that Captain America even noticed this one. Still, changes are good, big or small. Often I feel like the small changes go unnoticed until they are added up and seen as a big change. Captain America and I have been reflecting on this past year and how many little changes produced huge changes in our life. God has been faithful and I'm so glad we continued to listen to Him throughout the changes. Exactly a year ago Captain America quit his job in the medical field to be able to go up with me to serve in Northern Canada. That opened many doors (of change) which led him to eventually work alongside a pastor in a small, local church. He has now learned that he enjoys preaching, which wasn't even on his radar a year ago.
Thinking back on how quickly life can change has made me excited to see what is in store for the next year of our lives!
