{Day 19} "Hemming" Curtains

In our living room, we have three good-sized windows with curtains that have been way too long for quite some time.  Although, where they fall is usually behind couches, so it's not too noticeable.  Still, I haven't liked the fact that the rest of the curtains are just laying on the ground collecting dust and, most of all, Amos hair.

So on pretty much the only rainy day this summer, I had the chance to "hem" the curtains with a no-sew, iron-on adhesive.  I wish I could say it was easy and took only a few minutes, but it proved to take a little longer than expected...you know, all that cutting, measuring, bonding, ironing...but it was a very cheap fix to an area that isn't really noticeable to anyone but myself.  Like I said, the bottoms of the curtains are mostly hidden but here is one spot where you can see a (tiny) portion of the final product:

In the end, it has added a little bit of happiness to this room for me, as it has been on my "to-do list" for quite some time.  And, who knows, maybe next time I will be much faster with this 'no-sew' concept.
